Looking for a meaningful way to make an impact against hunger with your group? Kids Against Hunger United offers hands-on volunteer opportunities that make a real difference for families facing hunger, both locally and around the world. Whether you’re a Girl Scout troop, youth group, club, team, or family, your group can join us to help pack meals, collect food, or support one of our pantry projects.
Host a Meal-Packing Event
Our meal-packing events are fun, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding. Volunteers work together to package highly nutritious meals that are distributed to local food pantries, schools, and families in need as well as to communities facing hunger around the world.
Here’s how it works:
• Each meal costs $0.30, and every group is responsible for covering the cost of the meals they pack.
• A group of 10–12 volunteers can pack about 2,500 meals in one hour, totaling $750.
• Larger groups can pack more! (We’ll help you estimate your total cost and number of meals in advance.)
• We’ll provide all the supplies, training, and music to make it a fun and impactful experience.

Host a Food Drive & Sort Donations
If fundraising for meal packing isn’t possible, your group can still make an impact by hosting a food drive to support our local pantry programs! Collecting nonperishable items helps stock our shelves and feed families in Delaware County.
We’ll provide everything you need to get started:
• A custom flyer and list of our most-needed items
• Collection bins (if needed)
• Support for promoting your drive in your school, workplace, or neighborhood
After your food drive, your group can schedule a sorting and shelving session at our warehouse or pantry to help organize the donations you collected.
